Afua Agyarko, MD

Dr. Afua Agyarko is an integrative intern medicine and obesity medicine physician who combines evidence-based medicine with a passion for holistic wellness. A graduate of Columbia University in New York City and UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, she completed her residency in internal medicine at Methodist Hospital in Dallas before beginning her medical career in Houston in 2008.

With over 15 years of experience in internal medicine, Dr. Agyarko developed a special interest in weight management, preventive care, and the reversal of chronic metabolic conditions. Her clinical work revealed how deeply obesity and lifestyle factors affect overall health—and inspired her to pursue additional training in this critical area.

She now specializes in helping patients reverse obesity-related conditions such as diabetes and PCOS through a personalized, root-cause approach. Her mission is to empower individuals to reclaim their health by addressing the key pillars of wellness: nutrition, movement, stress, sleep, and mindset.
