Dr. Afua Agyarko is a graduate of Columbia University in New York City and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Methodist Hospital in Dallas. Dr. Agyarko started practicing internal medicine in Houston in 2008, where she developed a strong interest in weight management, preventative health care, and wellness. As an Internal Medicine physician, Dr. Agyarko saw many patients affected by obesity and began focusing on helping manage their obesity related disease through lifestyle changes and weight loss.
Through research, learning from experienced obesity medicine specialists, and pursuing certification by the American Board of Obesity Medicine, Dr. Agyarko honed her effective weight management solutions. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She continues to manage obesity related diseases, as well as focusing on helping people reverse obesity related disease and decrease or stop medications altogether. Her specialty training and years of practical experience equip her with the knowledge, skills, and expertise to address obesity and help her patients lead healthier lives.
Holly Burton is a Registered and Licensed Dietician as well as a Certified Diabetes Educator, and an AADE Lifestyle Coach. She received her undergraduate degree at Southwest Texas State University and her Master’s at Texas Women’s University in the Texas Medical Center. She is a member of the American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has over 19 years of experience helping her patients live healthier lifestyles.
